どうも、吾輩です。
悪役が書けません。
倫理的に悪いことするやつ、性格が歪んでいるやつは少なくないのですが、みんなどこかしら人間味を付与してしまうので、がちがちの悪役というのが書けません。
特撮的「悪の組織」を用意しても、登場時点からヒーローと和解していて「元・悪の組織」だったり、組織内の雰囲気が和やかだったり、幹部クラスのやつが組織に疑問を抱いてしまったりと、戦わない方向に転がってしまいます。
ヒーローや魔法少女が敵と戦う話を書いたこともあるのですが、以上の通り「悪役」が書けません。よって「敵」は「自然発生する知能の低い巨大怪獣」という「人格」のないものになりました。
なぜ人格ある悪役が書けないのか考えてみたのですが、吾輩は基本的に自分のキャラが大好きなわけです。悪役として作ったキャラクターにも好きな要素をつい盛ってしまいます。
悪役が１人だけならまだなんとかなるかもしれませんが、コンビ、トリオ、それこそ組織だった場合「好きなキャラ同士が仲良くしていると嬉しい」という気持ちが発生し、結果悪役らしからぬ空気が悪役諸氏の周りに漂うことになるのです。はい、アットホームな悪の組織、一丁上がり。
もともと吾輩はコメディ路線の悪役が大好きです。幼少期、人並みに「正義が悪を打ち倒す」ストーリーを見てきたはずですが、例えばセーラームーンの悪役がどんなだったかさっぱり覚えていません。一方マイティライダーズのグランショッカーは後から知った原作悪役諸氏へ、無意識に被せてしまうレベルで魂に突き刺さっています。あとは感想というかおすすめとして語った「秘密結社で行こう」。この作品は吾輩の中の「たのしい悪の組織」の柱です。
こうやって考えてみると、吾輩に悪役を書くのはもはや不可能な気がしてきました。当分は巨大怪獣でしのぐことになりそうです。
